Jeremy Allister

After leaving  UMIST with  a degree in Ophthalmic Optics in 1975 I worked  in several Wirral and Liverpool practices before starting the Neston practice in September 1981. In those days we  were on the first floor above Nicholsons the Drapers overlooking the Parish Church. At that time Opticians were not allowed to advertise so it took some years before the practice became busy. In 1994 the former Fosters Menswear premises became available and we started trading in March 1995. Since then I have enjoyed supervising several students through their pre-registration years and I was for some years an examiner for the British College of Optometrists. The practice has steadily grown and in June 2018 I was pleased to pass the business on to Mark and Becky Simpson who I know will serve the people of Neston (and beyond) very well.

In my current semi-retirement I look forward to spending more time ‘out on the bike’ and watching the Reds at Anfield. My other long-time hobby is being a member of Cor Meibion Rhosllanerchugog, the Rhos Male Voice Choir.
